PAUL, Minnesota — Owners of the newly relocated Winnipeg franchise in the National Hockey League have reportedly chosen to call the team 'Jets', after the city's former NHL club.The Winnipeg Free Press, TSN and ESPN were among those reporting that True North Sports and Entertainment, which purchased the Atlanta Thrashers, have decided on 'Jets' in part because it was the area's popular choice.The original Jets relocated to Phoenix in 1996 and changed their nickname to Coyotes.Several other names had been considered, the new owners said, but Jets was popular from the start, many fans still wearing the old team's colors.There was no immediate confirmation of the reports and the club might still use a new logo and colors other than the red and blue of the former club.
